Please tell us what's your OS X version, Fink version, and which X11  
you've installed (Apple's? Xquartz?). For the first two, run the  
following commands:

sw_vers | grep ProductVersion
fink --version | head -n 2

The error indicates that gtk+2 needs to use libXdamage but it can't  
find /usr/X11/lib/libXdamage.1.0.0.dylib. What's the output of the  
following commands?

ls -l /usr/X11/lib/libXdamage*
cat /usr/X11/lib/libXdamage.la
