Fink only builds single-architecture libraries.  Try

fink remove libgettext8-dev
fink -l rebuild libgettext8-shlibs

file /sw/lib/libintl.8.0.2.dylib

And if that doesn't work, we will probably want to dig into the
libgettext8-shlibs build log file. (which is why to use "fink -l rebuild"
