Yeah, document-as-you-go is a good policy, keeps us from forgetting to
do so at all:) OTOH, our current doc system doesn't make this easy.

I think cvs branches is confusing enough and easy enough to screw up
that it's better to not have to explain it to the language committers.

Experience in fink core has proven that having a lot of dangling
branches is a pain to keep in sync as we go or to merge "much later",
assuming we even remember to do so.

We used to do that, but a few months ago it was decided that "public
docs are only for fink that has actually been released". Feel free to
debate this point on -devel. For the case at hand, writer was unaware
that (b) was not the current practice.

I winder if the solution here (in the .xml but commented-out) is a
good (a') solution. It does enable translators get get working on new
stuff right away, which enables it to be made "live" in native
languages in as soon as the fink containing them gets released. And
doesn't require teaching about cvs branches. It enables everyone who
wants to see the info to do so easily without having to play cvs
branch games. Perhaps we should modify the xslt parser so that this
stuff gets placed into the published .php and .html (still
commented-out; maybe we need a <coming-soon> entity:) so that this is
even easier?

Translators: what are your thoughts on different approaches for
getting coming-soon material translated?
