I'm gonig to add some well-documented .info samples to the packaging manual, and wonder how best to arrange them. Should I do two parallel columns, with explanations next to each line? Or have the whole file first with numbered lines, and then number the corresponding notes afterwards? I don't like the idea of using regular .info comment syntax, because that makes it hard to get line-wrapping and other text formatting to work well. I put together quick samples of the two ideas at http://www.netspace.org/~dmacks/fink/test.html, and I don't think either way looks particularly pretty (though the multicomlumn approach seems easier to understand). If anyone has any ideas for improving these layouts, or entirely different and better arrangements, I'd love to hear... (Note that this is auto-generated from xml source, so even complex HTML will (probably:) not be a problem to maintain.) dan -- Daniel Macks [email protected] http://www.netspace.org/~dmacks ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by Black Hat Briefings & Training.
