SNMP MIB Init

Has anyone found a way to init a MIB without modifying the following files:

interfaces.h
ib_module_inits.h

which is what the docs recommend?

This modification is not desirable as it is hard to source code control with application code.

Perhaps there is some established callback that is save to init in?
