Re: lpd: the thin edge of the wedge?

Old simple small lpr/lpd code that compiles & runs should not be removed,
it would gratuitously disrupt small users (*).  Those who dont
want to further maintain aka enhance it, best stop work, not remove it.

Just add to manuals eg: "Not reccomended for Companies, orgs
etc with net accesible printers that need security & more features
who can instead consider [Cups or alternatives]."

* Example: As a user of lpr & lpd since UCB BSD 4.2. ~ 1986 (Symmetric 375 :
Jolitz) Behind a firewall I don't need security from lpd, & 
no wish to loose time adopting CUPS, (though considered while
searching for drivers).
