$ glxinfo -B | grep -i accel
also reports 'accelerated'.

I have tried unmounting /proc before switching the terminals, and it makes no
difference.  So whether or not /proc is mounted appears to make no difference.

The bug appears to be fixed in 14.3-RELEASE, on my system.
