A couple of observations, if I may:
1. This is prime click-bait material.
2. This is a direct attack om some very large enshitificators business-models.
It would be eminently sensible to legislate that parents shall be
able to buy a mobile phone or tablet, which will flag all traffic
with IP_OPT_MINOR, so that everybody else can act accordingly, and
that such devices may not under any circumstances betray neither
the kids privacy nor sanity.
I dont know if the (proposed) laws actually say something like that,
and in all likelyhood, neither do any of you, because I have not seen
anybody here credibly claim, to actually have read the legal text.
But even if the proposed laws contain something so eminently sensible,
anybody who wanted prevent the direct attack on their morally
repugnant business model, could easily spin that as "Operating
systems have to perform age-checks" for a few thousand ${currency}
So until further notice, my considered advice is:
Do not trust any "influencers" to tell you what any (proposed) laws contains.
