I've not been able to make it work reliably when I've tried it in the
past.  But that was in the 4.2 timeframe, so maybe the PCI changes
since then have made things work.

Especially in that configuration. :-)  However, you might be able to
make it work if you use "wi" as the device name rather than "wi0".
Even that might not work.

You use multiple real PCI cards.  That's your best bet.  One of the
Intersil PRISM-II based PCI cards is known to work (I have one machine
that has three of them in it).
