I know both the Orinico's are 16 bit cards, I'd suppect the netgear 
(prism based) card is as well. I've no idea on the EnGenius.
Though if it's a 16bit card, it sounds like pcmcia devices work for you 
but true 32bit cardbus one's don't.
 If that's the trend I'd expect your new card not to work as well  - 
certainly confirms it's bus related.
