I've also noticed that in some situations, my Lucent card out performs
my Aironet 350.  Specificaly, I get good performance on my parent's deck
(connecting to a Lucnet RG-1000 in the basement), but <40% packet loss
with the 350.  In general, I've been a happy user of the 350s and we're
using them almost exclusivly at work.

You can't do powersaving without an AP which may be an issue.  Otherwise
there isn't much difference that I know of.
