Bug ID: 292080
Summary: bsdinstaller exits when VGA disable jumper set on
Talos II
Product: Base System
Version: 15.0-RELEASE
Hardware: powerpc
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Some People
Priority: ---
Component: powerpc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
When starting a bare-metal installation of FreeBSD on a Raptor Talos II with
the VGA disable jumper set, the system boots up to rc.local and asks for the
terminal.
After selecting a terminal, the welcome dialog of bsdinstaller launches and
exits immediately.
The boot process then proceeds to a login prompt.
Workaround: log in as root and run /etc/rc.local or bsdinstaller manually.
Note: if the VGA disable jumper is removed, the bsdinstaller remains running
and the installation can continue.
