I don't boot using EFI but rather have my BIOS in legacy mode.  I load
nvidia-driver from loader.conf and have never seen a hang in the many years
I've been doing that.  So the handbook could reflect that EFI booting may cause
a problem using loader.conf, but that booting in legacy mode probably will not.
