It could, but I don't think it should unless legacy boot + loading
nvidia-modeset from rc can cause problems. (Can it?)

from something that failed in some cases but not all to something that was
known to work in all cases even if some could have worked without the change
(see the "In theory" note), it would be better to recommend a method with no
reported problems, for simplicity.
