https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=291337 Pierre Beyssac <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|--- |Not A Bug Status|Open |Closed --- Comment #12 from Pierre Beyssac <[email protected]> --- Ok thanks Bjoern and Emmanuel for the help and advice, I found the solution: pilot error on my part, I didn't notice the PCI ids changed for the internal GPU when I added the card, so I actually gave the internal GPU, not the PCI card, to ppt. No wonder Xorg failed then. So I can go back using the unpatched amdgpu driver, it works successfully once the card in in passthru mode, the machine successfully ignores the card. The passed-through RX9060 still doesn't work in Linux/bhyve as it should (seems to fail at firmware loading), but that's another story. Note that passing the device to a FreeBSD 15.0 bhyve VM causes the same crash in amdgpu. I think I can close the ticket.
