As a Principal Engineer within the Network Infrastructure Group, this
developer has a major role in the ongoing development of our networking
facilities for Blue Coat's Proxy SG family of products.  Current
highlights include Blue Coat's industry leading development of IPv6
functionality as well as re-architecture of the network protocol stack
to take advantage of highly parallel systems.  This position is at the
heart of the system, and ultimately many of the hardest and most
interesting problems fall to this team to find imaginative and creative
solutions.

*	C / C++ development
*	TCP/IP protocol expertise
*	Network protocol stack development
*	Multiprocessor development 
*	Assembly code development
*	BSD based network stack development.
*	Can build a comprehensive set of MP system synchronization
facilities from scratch using any modern CPU architecture
*	Has experience building lock free data structures
*	Has participated in a successful transition of a single
processor network protocol stack to MP
*	Understands and can teach good MP debugging techniques
*	Understands cache line effects and how to tune them for high
performance

  

 BS/MS in EE/CS or equivalent, with at least 10 years of network
software development experience since graduation.
