If it cannot be easily fixed in Edit, then what about making notepad
your standard editor, ie. putting Notepad on the base diskset?

With my (german) keyboard I cannot use Edit to edit my configuration
files because I can't get the important Backslash (\). I suppose that 
other keyboards have the same problem.
