Speaking of DPMI, then running DOS boxes in Linux is what dosemu is all about. Fair to say that Dosemu is an implementation of DPMI for Linux? ( Although unlike in Windows the DOS has to "pretend" its on VFAT and it's not supposed to recognize a Linux filesystem, anyway... ) Sorry I know I could look this up, but I'm lazy so I'll ask right here since I'm thinking about this at the moment. When I got dosemu as you all know it copied a FD directory tree and all - all the same directories and files that I got from the install CD for FD from ibiblio. Instead of referring to this copy on my Linux partition, can I make it refer instead to the partition on which I have already installed Freedos(which is on my computer hda1 type fat16)? This would also make the filesystem a little more sensible for DOS. Thanks, George
