I just found some, found a lot of 'would be nice for FreeDOS, and should be there, but hasn't yet been implemented' so I concluded, that it's (at least) a rip of MS original doc. BTW: one html tag wanted to signalize 'should be there, but hasn't yet been implemented' color might be <GREY> > * compare what each says about this or that command. > * if at least one (non-trivial) sentence is exactly the same, write down > that command somewhere, delete the FreeDOS version and write it the > new help in your own words (a few days later). > > For other commands like diskcopy and mem the htmlhelp is completely > different so there's no need to change or rewrite. I agree. for COMMAND.COM, C:>DIR /? gives you a start, though C:>DIR /? tells you, that you can sort the listing with /O, and that you can search for attributes with /A, which is complete bullshit. please document existing functionality only; it's not necessary for everyone to repeat my experience. C:>DIR *.c /od invalid switch C:>DIR *.c /OD invalid switch C:>DIR *.c -od invalid switch C:>DIR *.c -OD invalid switch C:>DIR *.c -OS invalid switch ... (300 lines snip) C:>DIR *.c /O invalid switch to conlude that /O doesn't exist. tom ---------- list options/archives/etc.: http://www.topica.com/lists/fd-dev unsubscribe: send blank email to: [email protected] ==^================================================================ This email was sent to: [email protected] EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?bz8Rv5.bafB3U Or send an email to: [email protected] T O P I C A -- Register now to manage your mail! http://www.topica.com/partner/tag02/register ==^================================================================
