A GPL-ed X11 server for DOS

Hello!

I have found an archive of StarNet's X11 server for DOS, both 286 and 386:

http://www.orgchm.bas.bg/pub/xwindows/starnet/

The source code is present there and it is GPLed, but I do not find any
other archive sites anywhere. Starnet has removed the files from their
own ftp.

I'd suggest making a copy somewhere else (at FreeDos.org?) if possible to
prevent disappearing of the nice program - and of course list the
software, it is hard to find otherwise!

I did run the xlite version on a 286, many years ago.
It was not too much fun but it kind of worked. No problem to run an xterm
or two :)

A note, the binaries distributed seem to still have a limitation
built in. I have been in contact with StarNet (about 6-7 years ago?) and
they told me it was not the intention - but evidently they never
repackaged the files after that. That is it may be tricky to run the
binaries without recompile. YMMV.
