What makes you believe I was looking for approval?  I asked two
questions and I asked each for a very specific purpose.

a) How insane this is, in order to find out whether what I'm doing might
have unexpected consequences that I don't see due to not diving into
NetBSD's code every day.

b) Whether NetBSD would be interested if it was cleanly done, because
god forbid people might care about contributing upstream.  That has
nothing to do with approval, and everything to do with whether I just
run my patch, or invest time into a more general way.  Which has long
since and pretty unanimously been answered already.

So I wonder why you felt the need to write this reply, and I apoplogize
for cluttering up your punch cards.
