Said reply was To: Mouse, by the way.  And what I did summarize, was the
part about what they do on Linux machines plus everything that was
seemingly written with the idea in mind, that anybody would be pushing
for colors to be on by default.  That makes it valid to dismiss IMHO.

...which was a tongue-in-cheek stab at Edgar, FYI.  Not that you could've
known, but you getting offended on his behalf is pointless.  If that
annoyed him, he will tell me.

I'm 100% sure if there will never ever be colors on a NetBSD serial
console (which won't be my doing), it will be off by default.
Colorblind and -adjacent people will simply decide to not turn that on.

I'm sorry if I misunderstood but even after reading it again, I can't
see the encouragement (other than an encouragement to bugger tf off),
with a mild touch of "you're only seeking validation".  But I'm happy
to assume it was a mistake on the receiving end, i.e. me.
