I personally don't see an easy way to provide nm and ldd through pkgsrc because these tools are system-specific. This kind of tools should be installed on Linux (in my case) side just like compiler, linker etc. Unfortunately pkgsrc guide doesn't specify explicitly what is "the base system" (minimum requirements) for normal pkgsrc use. Common sense is not a good friend here.
