Thinking helped to resolve the rest, everything ok now as 
far as I can see, Blackbox and Fluxbox window manager do 
work ok now.

Starting the window manager (exec blackbox &) before xterm 
helped. I saw it somewhere differently and followed that 
route, which obviously was not correct.

And on to the next little project with NetBSD.
