Running a hpcarm kernel on a different PDA model than a supported one
isn't expected to work.

That is still in hpcboot.

What do you mean by a serial console ?

Are you connecting a true serial port on the PDA to a USB serial
adapter ?

There isn't really anything to detect for a PDA.
