Wasn't so much about wanting a DMA based storage option.  Just that
the TruIDE microdrives are much cheaper than the Memory style
drives.....

Evidently there were reports of overheating.  Of course, if the
adapters I have managed to last 16 years, I doubt they will fail.  But
you never know.
