Nintendo Wii: wi-fi instability

Hi. This is on the latest NetBSD 10 daily build:

I have an issue that hasn't been reported yet.

After about 10 hours total of uptime and 8 hours idling without any interactive
use (I was sleeping), restarting the wpa_supplicant service caused my Wii to
lock up for about a minute. When the Wii becomes responsive again, these errors
occupy the entire 64KiB dmesg buffer:

Afterwards, the wi-fi doesn't work again until reboot. It seems to keep trying
to connect indefinitely, ifconfig keeps alternating between these results:
$ ifconfig

        ssid home-network nwkey *****
$ ifconfig

I also have this separate ssh issue that has already been reported (ssh -v log
shows ssh getting stuck in the exact same place):

I have an OpenWRT router with reverse DNS working, and I tried disabling UseDNS
in the Wii's sshd_config and restarting sshd after, nothing helped, I don't
believe this is the issue.

Ssh'ing from my desktop to other hosts in the network works, in fact ssh'ing to
the Wii through an USB wi-fi card's IP also works, only the internal wi-fi
card's IP doesn't work.
