Did you use the special "com1" images?
Maybe you can try any generic VGA card. In my Motorola machines is some
Cirrus Logic GD543x or GD544x thing and AIX is happy with it. If I 
remember right, there is a S3 Virge-somthing in the 43P-100. If you want 
I can provode exact type codes later.
