Hi all, Would it be possible to run NetBSD/prep on a RS/6000 7024 E20? I tried booting the NetBSD/prep generic_com0.fs on mine and this is what I get: ---cut--- >> NetBSD/prep BOOT, Revision 1.5 >> ([email protected], Mon Sep 9 04:09:02 UTC 2002) Boot: Loading in() 2931808+255772 [159872+130751]=0x3514f8 start=0x100000 [ using 291196 bytes of netbsd ELF symbol table ] Copyright (c) 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 The NetBSD Foundation, Inc. NetBSD 1.6 (GENERIC) #0: Mon Sep 9 04:19:26 UTC 2002 [email protected]:/autobuild/prep/OBJ/autobuild/src/sys/arch/prep/compile/GENERIC Model: IBM Model 7024E20 (c0ED) total memory = 65536 KB avail memory = 55620 KB using 844 buffers containing 3376 KB of memory mainbus0 (root) cpu0 at mainbus0: 604 (Revision 3.4), ID 0 (primary) cpu0: HID0 c084<ICE,DCE,SGE,BHT> ---cut--- Then it just hangs. Does the box still have hope or will I have to do with AIX (which I was able to install ok, so the box itself is working fine)? I'd be happy to play the testing engineer if someone has a clue how to fix this. :) -jake -- Jarkko Santala <[email protected]> http://www.iki.fi/~jake/ System Administrator 2001:670:83:f08::/64
