thinkpad x260 is really the gold standard for this - suspend is
perfect.

the iwm driver kinda* works, but has a mind of its own, so it's
preferable to use USB tethering (or, failing that, plug in an urtwn).
Or just plug it in to ethernet.

* very lossy, sometimes "invalid firmware response" spam, low
  throughput
