If my participation in this project has taught me one thing, then it is that 
open and iterative approaches usually work best. I'd rather have a 
suboptimal, incomplete solution in the repository than ten almost finished 
perfect solutions on someone's harddisk. And small commits increase the 
chance that others actual read through the changes and might discover bugs 
or propose improvements that might save you hours of time.

Oh, and everyone has written code that sucks. Really! :-)
