I hadn't burned the CDs, just labeled them. And the labels cause burning to fail as well, consistently, with an error. I've now booted NetBSD and OpenBSD CDs ok. boot dqb0 -fl "" -fi "" NetBSD won't then boot from the hard drive, I can probably figure that out. Trying OpenBSD at the moment. The other machine has since sold. Thanks/sorry, - Jay
