I run OpenBSD on a compact flash device.  In fact we manufacture them
for specialized work.  We use off the shelf i386 systems from
WinSystems and a basic OpenBSD installation with no customizations.
I'm not sure I understand why a "project" is even needed --- OpenBSD
installed on our devices on the first try.
