This "floppy" of which you speak?  Is this that old technology
from the 70's?  I'm not sure I'm familiar with it :)

I do know that the boxes I have have no floppy drives.  Some
have no drives at all.  The House PC (the 233/K5 bought to
serve NFS for < $200 when I measured power consumption of the
SGI, the SPARCs and others) has large hard drives, a CD and
no floppy (I needed the space for a smart card reader).

Oh, and if I use DOS, don't I have to acquiesce to an MS EULA
that means I give up massive rights on many of my machines?

In short: floppy drives don't exist on all AMD/Intel machines,
esp. embedded ones.
