I have OpenBSD 3.4 snapshot on a 712/80
Two questions

1. I can't get the x server to start
is it supported?
what should be in the driver section?

I tried
Driver "fbdev"
Videoram 2048

In /var/log/XFree86.0.log I get a bunch of PC cards
(like ATI, S3, SIS etc), then FBDEV, then VGA, then
wsfb, then (EE) No devices detected

I tried
Driver "wsfb"
VideoRam 2048

In /var/log/XFree86.0.log I get
(II) wsfb(0): driver for wsdisplay framebuffer: wsfb
(II) wsfb(0): using default device
(II) Running in FRAMEBUFFER Mode
(**) wsfb(0): Depth 8, (--) framebuffer bpp 8
(==) wsfb(0): Default visual is PseudoColor
(==) wsfb(0): Using gamma correction (1.0, 1.0, 1.0)
(II) wsfb(0): Vidmem: 16384k
(==) wsfb(0): DPI set to (75, 75)
(**) wsfb(0): Using "Shadow Framebuffer"
(EE) wsfb(0): wsfb_mmap: Invalid argument

One thing that looks obvious to me is that the Vidmem
line looks wrong as I only have 2048k (I think)

When the machine is booted it says
sti0 at mainbus0 offset 8000000 irq11: HPA208LC1280
rev 8.04;7, ID 0x2B4DED6D40A00499
sti0: 2048x1024 frame buffer, 1280x1024x8 display,
offset 0x0
sti0: 8x16 font type 1, 16 bpc, charset 0-255

2. Is the NetBSD or OpenBSD distro for the HPPA more
complete / stable etc ?

Thanks, Philip
