cd booting problems

Hi,

I'm the owner of a 712/100 which i'm trying to boot from cdrom. I
downloaded and burned cd33.iso to two cd's now in case the first one was
defective.

Currently, this is the setup of the physical drives.

[MotherBoard]=======[Seagate ST32151N ID:2]=======[SCSI CDROM ID:4
TERMINATING]

So, there is no terminator on the cable because there aren't enough
connectors.

The devices are detected properly when I supply 'search scsi' from the
boot admin prompt.

After that, i issue 'boot scsi.4' and the boot process begins. It
successfully begins booting and the dmesg appears.

The process stops when ie1 is detected.

The exact line looks like this:

ie1 at gsc1 offset 7000 irq 8: LASI/i82596CA v1.0, address 09:00:09:c9:73:07
biomask 0x23 netmask 0x27 ttymask 0x3f

Nothing follows that line. I've let it idle for about an hour or more but
it definitely seems like it stops after that line.

So far, with the help of Lupines from efnet's #openbsd, i've tried to
physically swap the devices, change the scsi ids and also plug it into a
hub incase it needed a link.

I'm planning to buy a cable with a terminator to try and boot with a
physical terminator on the chain. I'm also going to procure a console
cable for it and try and capture as much data as possible in case anyone
needs it.

Has anyone encountered these problems before? Any suggestions or flaws

I'm open to any suggestions regarding it.
