EUI 64 autoconfiguration and static assignment

I am connected to a native dual stack network and want to use the benefits
of neighborhood discovery (default route, etc.) but also want to be able
to statically assign an IPv6 address a la Solaris hostname6.if and not
pull EUI 64. Is it possible to do so in hostname.if or anywhere else?
