Apple was fond of slapping different labels on the same machine. 
While TECHINCALLY there may be no reason to list them separately, when
you are rummaging around at a hardware swap or local trash dump (or my
basement), you don't necessarily have a cross-reference available
(though my basement has full net access. 8).

The 840AV machine's on-board NIC is non-functional.  A NuBus NIC on
the expansion bus is non-functional (same card is running very nicely
in my Q650).  I tend to think an OpenBSD computer without usable
network support is pretty useless.  This is an issue for all the
laptop Mac68k systems, too... I have trouble calling these anything
nicer than "support challenged", though maybe I'm a little harsh. 
(please refrain from telling me it *could* be done using the serial
ports unless you do it and accomplish something that way)

Claudio, regarding the 660AV, can you make the mc(4) do anything
useful in promicuous mode?  The 840AV has the same basic issues as the
660AV (I've been told the AV systems require some seriously updated
code).  

The AV machines have some serious facination for me -- supposedly,
they were able to capture full motion video, which is impressive for a
25MHz or 40MHz processor.  And considering the disk and network
performance I've seen out of the supported mac68k systems, even
assuming the video capture was done purely in HW, I can't imagine my
Q650 just moving data around that fast, much less doing something with
it, as well.
