Well, I have an 840 AV. I it is really a nice box.
You can't really capture full motion video at maximum resolution.
The internal scsi controller is fast, you get up to 10MB/s with a good
disk. I got 7.7 IIRC.
The ethernet card is also quite nice.
The good thing it has a good badnwidth among the CPU and the DSP. So you
can "see" full PAL video on the screen w/o problems, since that
bandwidth is guaranteed. Also the DSP is really nice.
And the audio capabilites are excellent and you can use it as hard-disk
recording. I did that even on live concerts.
But the video capture does no hardware compression and so you can't do
full-motion capture to disk. But it is nice nevertheless.
The CPU is a 40Mhz that doubles at 80Mhz internally for some stuff and
is the fastest performing mac68k.
