On-board video, both the on-board NIC and a 3Com ae(4) board in a NuBus slot work fine (I use the 3com card to keep it tested, figure the on-board is tested by my 610). Quadra 610: USUALLY works fine, but I *sometimes* gives me a panic on boot. IF the machine boots successfully, it will run and run, and has no difficulty doing 'make builds. "Mostly works". First impression was "hardware issue", as it (at first) seemed to happen more if the machine had been off for a day or so. Not so sure now. Cool accessory, not worth adding, but if you trip across it in a junk pile: Alps Glidepoint "Apple Compatable" -- two button mouse for X on OpenBSD/mac68k! whoo!! 8) (there is actually a third button on the Alps Glidepoint, but that doesn't do anything in X. Or I haven't spent any time trying to figure out if it could... Got a bunch of other machines, will test them with 3.5 to get more detailed reasons why they blow up...after I get my income taxes done. 8-/ (I hate this time of year) Nick. -- http://www.holland-consulting.net
