Hi Nate,

my Q700 ran on a 9Gig disk for a long while. The main problem is with
the installer, which seems to have problems with drives > 1Gig (in some
peoples experience with disks > about 200MB, myself I had 1Gig disks
installing without any problem). Once you have the install sets on the
disk, I believe that big disks are OK.

You can't format them on the suns or ppc machines. But you should be
able to format them on the mac68k machine, from Mac OS. Possibly you
need a patched Apple Harddisk Install tool, since it would refuse to
format non-Apple disks. Another option would be to find Lido, a (now
freeware) comercial disk formatting tool that did a fine job for me.
