no boot after upgrade

Device: HP 2 small servers (Atheon CPU)
As usual from some 30 releases I have upgraded manualy 7.8 to 7.9
After reboot it is UNUSUAL INCONSISTENCY of swap (sd4b) and / (sd4a)
and advice to RUN fsck MANUALY.
fsck_ffs doesn't work because disks are not configured
fdisk doesn't work because it is lack of /usr/mdec/mbr - only / partition
accesible, not /usr

Dmesg looks ok, softraid0 created. I cannot send dmesg because cannot copy
form device.

I am stack on that and I don't want to reinstall both installations.

I appreciate any advice (may be boot from usb or so).
