home AP revisited

Dear all,

a few years ago, I was running an athn(4) home wifi router
(from an APU if I remember correctly), and after experiencing
some slowety and unreliabiliness I was advised here to rather
use a dedicated wifi AP hardware. I used this cheapo TP Link
(two antenas, serves the home nicely), which now seems to be
dying. So now I am revisiting the question: has some wifi driver
matured enough to be used directly from an OpenBSD box as home AP?
A few laptops and phones, nothing big. If so, which card would
you recommend? Or am I still better off with a dedicated HW router?

	Thank you
