hardware codec / acceleration from GPU on browsers and media players

Hello,

I have a computer based on Intel i3-9100 cpu, with integrated gpu.
I run latest OpenBSD snapshot.

There are some incomplete talks about intel-media-driver and
installation of this.
My questions are:
1. Is there any use to install this intel-media-driver for browser
video decoding / acceleration?
2. Is there any use to install this for mpv and ffplay utilities?
