Re: Use SMP on i386

The SMP branch in the CVS repository has the beginnings of the system.
There were rumors at one point that the system would come begin booting
for "several seconds" until, IIRC, the resources became exhausted.
However, I have not seen any commits to cvs in the last 6 months or so.
There might be work going on in people's private trees, but nothing that
has been discussed here for quite some time.
