mpbios isn't found, perhaps this is a corner case... as linux and 
freebsd booted mp, then
they can probably tell where the mpbios was in their dmesgs, can you 
find that info somewhere?
maybe you have partitions with these OSes around still?

also, in the bios settings, can you decide between different MPS 
standards? 1.1 and 1.4 can
often be selected between.  I tend to use 1.4 on my boxes.
