The fact that a lot of people are interested in SMP support has absolutely no influence wrt SMP support. SMP support can only be done by people with enough skills to code correct code, multiprocessor wise. Who cares if there are 1000 persons on a list awaiting this code to happen. This will not help improving this situation. I sure would love to get my quad-sparc and my quad-mvme88k boxes running multiprocessor. This is however very low in my todolist (assuming I have enough brain cells to write decent multiprocessor code). But you don't see me whining on the lists, because whining does not get code to be written. And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm back to code. Miod
