Ethernet Card?

Hello,
I'm posting this again because I didn't hear any response the first time. Also, I'm not sure the first post got through.
I've a SIMH-emulated Microvax 3900 with a virtual Delqa ethernet card, which shows up under OpenBSD as /dev/qe0.
For whatever reason, though the card seems to work very well on the Internet, I still get an occasional emssage on the console and via syslog:
qe0: xmit logic died, resetting...
I'm not sure what this message means, and looking at the man pages haven't produced anything fruitful.
I'd appreciate any enlightenment, as sometimes I come home to find the console screen filled with such notices.
