I am attempting to install ffmpeg (also on an intel machine; didn't see any problems online, but if there are, I'd appreciate the heads up) and received the error that it needs subversion to download the source. I installed svn from the Metissian package, and it seems to work fine. I tested it by downloading the source of ffmpeg myself (svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk ffmpeg). Seemed to get everything. svn is in /usr/local/bin and that is in the PATH. When I attempt to install ffmpeg through DP, though, I still get this error: ---> Fetching ffmpeg Error: The subversion tool (svn) is required to fetch svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk. Error: Please install the subversion port before proceeding. Error: Target com.apple.fetch returned: Subversion check out failed Error: Status 1 encountered during processing. Any ideas why this is failing. It is like DP doesn't see svn...but as I said, svn seems to work just fine. Thanks! Nate
