X11 Desktop success with 1.3.2?

Has anyone had any success building an X11 "Desktop" environment using the
multitudes of ports available to Darwin Port 1.3.2?

For example, Gnome Desktop or KDE?

It has been a nemesis trying to build these desktops. Not having them is not
the end of the world in my case becuase I can live with a simple windowing
manager, but it would be a nice option to have.

gnome-vfs is broken (but I'm testing and providing feedback to Randall on
this score) ... a lot of the Gnome Desktop ports are dependent on gnome-vfs

What about KDE?
